About Founder

Amoggh Deesai
Since Childhood:
Born & brought up in suburbs of Mumbai, Amoggh has been through varied experiences – good & bad, in life. From his childhood, he learnt the art of ‘learning from his experiences’. Like any child from Mumbai’s middle-class family, he completed his studies and graduated as an IT engineer from Mumbai University. Through his studying years, he has had experiences like:
- being bullied, a guinea pig, jealousy from peers, etc.
- had some good understanding people around
- being an introvert and reserved, to an extent that people wouldn’t realize his presence for long (although being introvert is not necessarily wrong)
- at times, he couldn’t express verbally, so he started writing
Professional life:
Having secured a job in campus placements, he worked for Infosys and then TCS for around 3 years. It gave him an opportunity to stay away from home and be an independent person. Independence teaches a lot of lessons via both – good and bad experiences.
Switching over:
After his father’s demise, in 2011 he jumped into the family business – National Institute of Photography and leading it till date. He has been teaching photography since 2014, which gives him opportunity to interact with people of varied demographic background. Leaving behind his IT roots, he adapted to the new changes and completed PGDM-Family Managed Business from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai. When he switched into this new arena, he faced elements of surprise, shock, predictions of failure and so on, from many people. He made mistakes, he learnt from them and he kept going ahead.
Learnings, Blessings, Inner-calling:
Amoggh feels blessed to have many Gurus & teachers in life and other individuals from whom he could learn many things. He is grateful to them for greatly influencing his life.
He has been through chronic rejections, denials from others, unpleasant experiences, loneliness, feelings of being unworthy, too. Being determined to succeed, he struggled and found his way out by following his intuition and inner-calling. He learnt about his empathy and compassion for others in this process. This led him to know and spread the importance of mental health.
He completed IGDCS (International Graduate Diploma in Counselling Skills) course from Banjara Academy in Bengaluru. He has been into counselling for others since 2018, helping people cope up with their challenges in personal & professional lives. He then learnt modalities like Pranic, Tao Hands Healing, Bach flower remedies, Saturn’s Decrees, and has plans for more in future. He has achieved it all on his own merit with support of his family.
We have the Power of Choice:
Hit by pandemic induced lockdown, his family business had tentatively come to a standstill with burden of payments and responsibility towards his organization. Like any normal human being, even he had moments of anger and stress. But keeping up with his attitude of looking at good in every situation, he chose to work upon his dream-project and created “Mannamicus” to reach out to people and provide support in whatever way possible.
Life is not perfect for anyone. We must accept it and keep moving ahead.
